Make it so people can register their own accounts so they can feel a part of this new vision website rather than being an anonymous observer with privileges to post. Perhaps make a "clone" of myspace, tailored to vocational skills and abilities; complete with the ability to post a resume, etc.

For examples of what is possible, take a look at this huge directory of what the new internet can be: http://www.go2web20.net

I hoping this program is as good as you are making it sound.
Thier are people like me that don't want to send thier teen with 18-24 year olds. My young adult is 16 and thinks he is in his adult years. So sticking him in with alot of them will only cause more self destruction if they drink and smoke. That is part of our problem now.
When you let your son or daughter go to someone house you exspect the adult in the home to act like an adult. WRONG! I have found that what you think and what realy goes on is to totaly diffrent things.
When you send your child to school you think the teachers will work with your child. That too I have found is wrong. My son has an LD and the teachers have made his school years a living heck.
They have done every thing to make him feel as stupid as can be. When the fact is is they should help not hurt.
Fear goes threw my core just thinking of sending him away in the first place. I face hard times and don't want them harder when my child returns home.
We have tried to raise or child right but the out side world has made him change. We knew it would happen but not at the hand of other adults. The fight goes on to make other people grow up that should have already done so.

So here is some ideals for you:
Help not just thier mind but also thier hearts. Some of theese kids have been persacuted not just by thier peers but also thier mentors.
Counsoling is a must for alot of them that is coming to you.
Roll playing problems in thier lifes can help them in many ways.

Teach them as they need to be taught. Not every child learns the same way.
Extra support is needed for all young adults. So I hope you have stiffed yourself on staff.

SPEEKERS: Have people that have come from nothing and have become more that anyone ever thought they could come and speek to theese youg youths. The need to hear it from someone that has been thier and concord the odds. Being diffrent is goood thing not bad.

Never refur to them a race or gender only as human. To change theese young mind way of thinking about thier self will in the end change the world also. We are more than we refur our self to being. On job app. I put down that i'm human. The only time eathier of theese thing should be a factor is at the DR. office.
I can go on for days but I can't now. In closing I would like to say GOOD LUCK! Think of what it is to be a kid in this world now. It's HARD when adults are close minded and set in thier ways so your staff must be open minded and willing to listen and see threw thier eyes.
