Changes in Coding for Automobile Technician Program

Review Program Instruction Notice 07-41, now posted online.  Navigate to Program Instruction Notice in the CTT Homepage Policy Box.

Update to Automobile Technician TARs (Brakes, Engine Performance, and Suspension and Steering)

Reference PIN 07-36 (available in the Policy Section) and the new TARs for Brakes, Engine Performance, and Suspension and Steering to see how Electrical-Electronics has been integrated into the TARs for student completion.  Once a student has completed the Electrical-Electronics portion through one TAR, completion of Electrical-Electronics is waived for the other TARs.  Reference the Electrical-Electronics portion toward the later part of the above listed TARs to see how to record student completion.  These TARs are now available through the Automobile Technician link on the left.

Welcome to the new web design for CTT Industries and Training Programs...

The Automotive and Machine Repair Cluster Page is your gateway to learning more about the automotive industry.  Here you will also find national training materials to support automotive related programs.  Stay tuned for updated information as it becomes relevant.

Information specific to a training program can be found by selecting the program links in the navigation on the left.  Applicable certification guides, TARs, certificates, equipment lists, and other materials are featured on these training program pages.

Update to the Collision Repair TAR

The National Office has removed the Collision Repair TAR time requirement of 700 hours.  Although 700 hours of welding is recommended by industry representatives consulted in the development of these standards, it is not required by ASE/NATEF for certification.  Please download and use the revised version of the Non-Structural Analysis and Damage Repair TAR.  Use the Collision Repair Training Program navigation link on the left.
