Center Resources
This section will get centers started on implementing STARS on center. Even if you are not a formally-designated STARS center, you can still establish mentoring, tutoring and speaker programs on your center. The following resources are contained in this section:
Center STARS Plan
Even if you are not a designated STARS center, the Implementation Plan will help you understand what is needed to utilize mentors, tutors and speakers on your center. Click here to download a copy of the STARS Center Implementation Guide.
Each designated STARS center is required to submit a STARS Plan to their Regional Office based on the timeline below. STARS Plans will be reviewed by the Regional Office and comments will be returned to the center via the STARS Plan Regional Review Template. The center will revise their Plan per the recommendations of the Region and, subsequently, integrate the STARS Plan into its CDSS Plan.
Timelines for Implementation
Each Regional Office shall establish timeline for the designated STARS centers in their Region to implement STARS. The timeline shall include deadlines for:
- Submittal of centers’ STARS Plans;
- Review of STARS Plans by the Region;
- Return of STARS Plan Regional Review Template to centers;
- Integration of STARS Plans into centers’ CDSS plans;
- Full integration of STARS on center; and
- First Regional monitoring visit to assess STARS implementation.
The STARS Plan Regional Review Template should be used by the Regions to evaluate centers’ STARS Plans.
